Film Nation Shorts is a film competition for young people aged 14–25 to make short films, telling their own stories in their own way.
There’s the chance to learn from experts about how to make a film from scratch – through workshops, master classes and Q&A sessions across the UK.
Plus, there’s the chance to win an award and meet filmmakers at our red carpet awards ceremony. Best of all, winners’ work will be screened in iconic London 2012 venues during the Games!

The winner of the Film Nation Shorts Film of the Month competition for January was London Calling made by Jess Gell, James Coppin and Joe Hurley, all aged 17 and from London
The film has automatically been shortlisted for the Film Nation Shorts Awards in 2012.
