Make sure your film ...
- is no longer than 3 minutes (including any credits)
- only uses music that you have approval to use. (see points 22 and 23 of the competition rules if you are uncertain)
- includes English subtitles for any non-English dialogue
- relates to at least one of the Olympic and Paralympic Values (Respect, Excellence, Friendship, Courage, Determination, Inspiration, Equality)
- is saved as one of the following acceptable file formats (for video encoding you can use this useful tool http://handbrake.fr/):
asf - asf format
avi - avi format
flv - flv format
m4v - raw MPEG4 video format
mov, mp4, m4a, 3gp, 3g2, mj2 - QuickTime/MPEG4/Motion JPEG 2000 format
wmv - Windows Media Video format - the maximum upload file size is 1gb (please remember to compress your file before uploading)
- director(s) and writer(s) are all between 14 and 25 years old
- does not use any commercial or uncleared music. If you use music made famous in a song or from another film, and you don't have permission to do so, your film will be ineligible. Try composing your own music for the film or use library music.
- Check you have the rights to enter the competition or, if you are not the rights holder for the film, that you have their permission to enter the competition
